Dr. David Helsing
Dr. David Helsing has been practicing optometry in the Tampa Bay Area for over 25 years. He has practiced in South Tampa in Britton Plaza since 1982. He specializes in contact lenses and pre-op and post-op laser evaluations. Dr. Helsing examines all ages from age 5 and up. Dr. Helsing is the owner of Citrus Park Eyecare and believes in preventive care and the importance of annual eye exams. Citrus Park Eyecare is a private practice that has been in the Citrus Park area for 5 years. Dr. Helsing has been the primary doctor in Citrus Park Eyecare since January, 2005. Since then, he is the proud owner since June, 2005. Dr. David Helsing graduated from Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, Illinois in 1982. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in clinical chemistry from the University of South Florida. Dr. Helsing is a board certified Optometric Physician. He is a member of the Hillsborough Optometric Society, the Florida Optometric Society and the American Optometric Society. He is a past president of the Hillsborough Optometric Society. Dr. Helsing is a current member of the Carrollwood Area Business Association.

Michelle Wyeth
Michelle Wyeth is a Board Certified Optician as well as the office manager. She has been working in the optical field for over 15 years. After completing the Optician Apprentice program, Michelle successfully passed her state boards and has been licensed since May 2000. Michelle has been working in this Citrus Park office since 2001 and has excellent knowledge of all of the latest frame and lens materials and options.

Donald Young
Donald Young is the newest member of Citrus Park Eyecare. He is a Board Certified optician with 30+ years experience in opticianry and eyecare. By attending workshops and continuing education seminars, he stays current in fashion and optical products. This assures our patients the highest level of care.

Cathleen Deabreu
Cathleen is an established member of our office. Cathleen handles most of the front desk duties. Cathleen is from Guyana and has lived in Florida for 7 years. She has been in the optical field for 7 years. She is a wonderful addition to our office.

Matt Helsing
Matt Helsing is the son of Dr. Helsing. Matt has been a part-time employee of our office and is currently in his 4th and last year at Nova Southeastern University as an Optometry student. Over the next year he will be doing rotations in Pediatrics, Low Vision, Geriatrics, Contacts and Primary Care. Upon finishing school he plans on moving back to Tampa to join his father in practice at Citrus Park Eyecare. |
